1. what this notice covers
This notice explains cookies and similar browser-storage technologies used by the AUREK website. Read it with the Privacy Notice.
A cookie is a small value stored by a browser and sent back to a website. Some cookies are necessary for security or login; others can be used for analytics or advertising. The current AUREK public website does not include behavioural advertising or an analytics package.
2. cookie currently used by AUREK

In production, the cookie is configured as HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Lax. Because it is necessary to provide the requested authenticated form or admin login and secure those functions, it is not used for advertising and is not offered as an optional toggle.
3. ordinary public visitors
AUREK does not intentionally set its session cookie merely because someone opens the public homepage or policy pages. It is created when a person starts Discord login for a protected form or the administrator panel. No AUREK analytics, advertising, fingerprinting, local-storage profile or cross-site tracking tool is included in the supplied build.
The web server, hosting provider or reverse proxy may still receive connection metadata such as an IP address, request time, page path and user agent in ordinary security or access logs. That is explained in the Privacy Notice and is not the same as storing an optional browser cookie.
4. third-party requests and links
The current pages request font files from Google Fonts. When the browser makes that request, Google may receive technical information such as an IP address and user agent under its own policies. Self-hosting the fonts would remove that live third-party font request and is recommended for a privacy-minimised production build.
Links to Discord, Steam, Garry’s Mod and content.aurekrp.com take you to another service or launch an external application. Those services may set their own cookies or process data under their own notices. AUREK does not control their browser storage.
If a hosting provider, CDN, anti-bot service, embedded video, analytics tool or payment provider is added later, this notice and any required consent interface must be updated before the feature is enabled.
5. controlling browser storage
You can delete or block cookies through browser settings. Blocking aurek.sid will prevent Discord login from completing, stop staff applications and event feedback from being submitted, or sign an administrator out. It does not prevent ordinary public viewing.
Browser controls do not stop server-side logs that are necessary to deliver and secure a web request. Privacy rights relating to those logs are described in the Privacy Notice.
6. changes and contact
We will update this page before introducing optional cookies or material new storage technologies. The effective date and version at the top show the current notice.
