1. unofficial fan-project status
AUREK RP is an independently operated, unofficial fan community. It is not affiliated with, authorised by, sponsored by or endorsed by Lucasfilm, Disney, Facepunch Studios, Valve, Steam, Discord or their affiliates.
Star Wars and related names, characters, imagery, sounds and marks are owned by Lucasfilm, Disney and/or their respective rights holders. Garry’s Mod and Facepunch names and marks are owned by their respective rights holders. Steam and Valve names and marks are owned by Valve. Discord names and marks are owned by Discord. All third-party rights remain with their owners.
2. AUREK-created material
Except for third-party material, the AUREK name as used for this community, original AUREK logo, website design, original written policies, custom code, original graphics and other material created for AUREK are owned by the relevant AUREK owner or contributor, or used with permission.
You may view and use the public website for personal community purposes. You may not copy, resell, impersonate, misrepresent, remove notices from or commercially exploit AUREK-created material without permission, except where law permits.
3. workshop, game and third-party content
Server content may include workshop items, models, textures, maps, sounds, scripts or other assets supplied by third parties under separate licences. Their inclusion does not transfer ownership to AUREK or to players.
Users must comply with licences and creator terms. Do not extract, redistribute, decompile, sell or re-upload content unless the rights holder or applicable licence allows it. AUREK may remove or replace content where licensing is unclear, permission is withdrawn or a credible rights complaint is received.
4. content submitted by users
You retain ownership of content you create. By submitting it to an AUREK Service, you give AUREK the limited licence described in the Terms of Use so it can host, moderate, display, archive and reasonably promote the community.
You must have permission to upload the content. Do not submit leaked files, pirated assets, stolen artwork, private recordings, another person’s personal information or material that infringes copyright, trade marks, privacy or publicity rights.
5. rights-holder notice and takedown requests
A rights holder or authorised representative can submit a notice through an appropriately labelled legal/copyright ticket in the official AUREK Discord. The notice should include:
- the claimant’s full name and contact details;
- identification of the protected work, mark or other right;
- the exact AUREK URL, workshop reference, file, channel, message or server location complained of;
- an explanation of why the use is unauthorised or unlawful;
- a statement that the information is accurate and the claimant is the owner or authorised to act;
- any relevant registration, licence or supporting material; and
- an electronic or physical signature.
Do not send unnecessary identity documents or sensitive information. We may request reasonable verification before acting.
6. review, removal and counter-notice
On receiving a credible notice, AUREK may restrict or remove material while reviewing the claim, contact the uploader, preserve records and seek further information. Removal is not necessarily an admission of infringement.
A person whose material is removed may submit a counter-notice identifying the material, explaining the lawful basis for use, providing contact information and confirming the accuracy of the response. We may restore material where appropriate, keep it restricted while parties resolve the dispute, or require a court or platform decision.
AUREK is not a court and cannot resolve every ownership dispute. We may choose the risk-reducing option of keeping disputed content offline.
7. repeat infringement and false claims
Accounts that repeatedly or deliberately infringe rights may have content privileges or access removed. Knowingly false, abusive or fraudulent notices may also lead to restriction and may create legal liability.
Nothing in this process limits lawful exceptions such as fair dealing, quotation, criticism, review, parody or another applicable exception. Whether an exception applies depends on the facts and jurisdiction.
